20th February 2013

A man who was being treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham after he had contracted a new respiratory illness similar to the deadly Sars virus has died.

The hospital confirmed the patient died on Sunday morning. To date, of the 12 people known to have been infected with the virus around the world, six have died.
