3D games warning for children

4th January 2011

Nintendo has posted a warning on its website regarding the potential harm to the eyesight of children under six-years-old that its new console could have.

The 3D console is released in the UK at the end of February. The message on the console's website said specialists had cautioned that damage could occur from games which present the left and right eye with differing images. The manufacturer said parents should only allow younger children to play 2D games on the console.
