Accused of being drunk

5th October 2009

The charity Ataxia UK has said that only fewer than one in 10 people in Britain are aware of the condition.

Ataxia is a neurological condition which causes sufferers to have problems with walking, moving and speaking. Dr Julie Greenfield from the charity said: "There is quite a lot going on, but at the moment people will have physio and medication for the symptoms such as tremor and muscle spasm. In terms of stopping the progression there is nothing."
