Alcohol-related A&E admissions rise among young children

New figures have shown that the number of children aged under 16 admitted to A&E because of alcohol abuse have risen by 17% in five years.

The statistics were collected from a parliamentary question and answer session. 650 children aged under 10 were admitted to A&E over the past five years. 24,000 children under the age of 16 were admitted in total, according to the Liberal Democrats.
