Anti-ageing face creams a waste of money

1st December 2008

Their study involved worms who were bred without a particular enzyme. Dr David Gems, who led the study, said: "Our results spectacularly failed to support the view of the free radical theory. The free radical theory of ageing has filled a knowledge vacuum for over 50 years now but it just doesn't stand up to the evidence. That means that if you are taking vitamin C or E in the hope of staving off ageing, it is unlikely to be right."
