Asda offers blood tests

5th January 2009

Under a pilot scheme by Sandwell Primary Care Trust, patients will be able to have a blood test performed at their local Asda supermarket.

Patients who have been given a referral letter by their GP will be able to visit the Asda in West Bromwich rather than going to Birmingham City or Sandwell hospitals. Rob Ashley, pathology manager at the hospital, said: "It's really good for the patients, it's about convenience."
