Be Clear on Cancer campaign announced
23rd March 2012The Department of Health is launching a campaign to raise public awareness of the symptoms of lung cancer and encourage people with persistent symptoms to go to see their GP.
The Be Clear on Cancer campaign will target people over 55 and runs from May 8 to June 30. It follows the positive results of the pilot in the Midlands in October last year which showed improved awareness in the symptoms of lung cancer and increased confidence in recognising the symptoms and was resulted in a 23% increase in attendance to primary care.
