Bed sharing raises risk of cot death

Researchers said more than half of cot deaths happen with babies sleep in same bed as parents.

NICE guidance warns parents not to share bed with their baby if they smoke or have consumed alcohol or drugs. However, a new study shows babies under age of three are five times more likely to die during the night even if this criteria is not met.
