Bedbugs boom

Pest control experts say that Britain is facing a pandemic of bed bugs that could leave millions of homes infested.

Rentokil said that it dealt with a 24% rise in the number of bed bug call outs in the first half of the year and there are fears the crisis will worsen in 2012 when millions of bugs could be brought into the UK in the luggage and clothing of visitors flying to the London Olympics. The United States has suffered a major bed bug epidemic recently.
