Bedside terminal access trialled

21st September 2011

Four NHS trusts - Mid Essex Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals, Southampton University Hospitals and Heart of England NHS foundation trusts – have started trialling the use of patient bedside terminals to access clinical systems.

Each of the trusts has begun using the Clinical Access service from Hospedia on terminals from JAOtech. Trusts can decide what systems to access from the patient’s bedside. However, Hospedia has the capability to provide a portal view of any system and that can include an entire electronic patient record.
