Best design award for hospital

26th October 2009

Stobhill hospital in Glasgow has been awarded the title of Best New Building at the Roses Design Awards ceremony.

The judges praised the hospital's groundbreaking design, its spaciousness and use of light, which were unlike traditional hospital designs. Event organiser Gordon Young said: "This year's results are tribute to the resilience of the sector, proving that ground-breaking work is still being produced despite the ongoing impact of recession."
