BigHand chosen by Kingston

In a move designed to cut the turnaround time for GP letters from outpatient clinics to five days, Kingston Hospital NHS Trust has picked BigHand software for its digital dictation system.

It will be used by 300 authors and secretaries as the trust looks to improve efficiency and support foundation status and commissioning for quality and improvement initiatives and moves from the current mix of analogue tape and digital recording to capture letter content. The new system will reduce delays within the workflow.
