BMA council meeting to decide next pension action

26th June 2012

The British Medical Association Annual Representatives Meeting in Bournemouth has gathered to discuss the pensions issue.

The four day conference will discuss the issue on Thursday and a council meeting will be held to determine what action should be taken. Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said last week: "I have told [the BMA] they can come and sit round the table, but what they have to do, however, is come together with the other NHS trade unions, because I will not have a situation where they threaten industrial action and then they expect some kind of concessions as a consequence of that."
