Breakthrough IVF test

10th November 2008

The review of an American study by scientists at Oxford University has shown a new IVF technique could "double the chance of pregnancy".

Dr Dagan Wells, from Oxford University, said the new information was "phenomenal". He added: "Chromosomal abnormalities are the main cause of implantation failure and miscarriage, and a way of detecting them should improve success rates. There is a dramatic change in implantation rate with this technology."
