Bristol chief exec to retire

17th August 2011

Ruth Brunt, the chief executive of North Bristol Trust, has announced her retirement after 18 months in the post.

She joined the trust as director of nursing in 2004 and will step down in April 2012 after almost 40 years in the NHS. She said in a statement: “With the recent launch of our foundation trust application and the incredible progress being made on the new hospital at Southmead, I thought this would be the perfect time to hand over to someone new.”
