British adults feel they have no-one to turn to

20th January 2014

As many as a third of British adults feel they have no-one to turn to in a crisis, suggests a recent survey hosted online by the Red Cross.

The main worries for people as they get older were cited as the loss of independence and not being able to cope on their own.

The same survey noted that nearly 75% of adults had already been through a period of crisis in their lives. 37% thought they might experience one again within the next five years.
