Call for more stomach-stapling

Stomach surgery aimed at reducing the weight of obese patients has increased by 41% in one year.

The surgery, known as gastric bypass surgery, was performed on 3,459 people in 2007. "We should aim for more ops," says Dr David Haslam, the clinical director of the National Obesity Forum.
