Call for repeat inquiry into CfH

14th July 2008

Doctors have told the BMA's annual conference that an independent inquiry should be set up to investigate the government's Connecting for Health project.

Dr David Wrede, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Taunton and Somerset NHS Trust, told the conference that they had asked in 2007 for an inquiry but it had not happened.

He added: “What we have experienced as clinicians is a system that’s very slow and difficult to get things done."
