Cancer helpline under review

10th September 2010

A national funding helpline for skin cancer sufferers is under review after some of its funding was pulled.

The Melanoma and Related Cancers of the Skin (Marcs) receives funding from Wessex Cancer Trust and based in Salisbury but the trust says because the line has grown too large it will have to end its funding of the project from December. Marcs has said that it is now reviewing the service to see how it could meet patients' needs in future.
