Care home fight lost by woman, 106

8th October 2009

A campaign and injunction to keep a 106-year-old woman in a Wolverhampton care home has been overturned by the Court of Appeal.

Louis Watts has been at the home, along with nine other residents, for four years. Lord Justice Sedley said the move from the home, if managed well, would "not do her any appreciable harm." He added: "If there were any firm findings that moving Mrs Watts would shorten her life the decision would be quite different."
