CCGs advised by Dr Foster

28th September 2011

Dr Foster has warned in its annual Intelligent Board report that NHS clinical commissioning groups will need good information to shift from commissioning by volume to commissioning for outcomes.

It said the emerging CCGs will need to think about their core information requirements and find data to inform them about the performance of secondary and primary care services. They should also look to use national datasets to find out about the safety, effectiveness and patient experience of secondary care services.
