Cerner to go-live at Royal Berkshire

13th January 2012

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust has announced it is planning to go-live with Cerner Millennium for its electronic patient record system from 26 March.

The go-live was originally scheduled for February but that was considered too risky because it would mean staff taken away from normal duties for training at the busiest and most challenging time of the year for the trust in terms of activity. The trust left the National Programme for IT in 2008 and in June 2009 signed a deal with University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre to deliver the Cerner Millennium system.
