Chefs to learn how to cook healthily

A London local authority is running special classes to teach curry chefs how to cook more healthily.

London’s Tower Hamlets Council and NHS Tower Hamlets are concerned that a lot of restaurants are serving dishes which are too high in salt, fats and calories and are worried about the effect this is having on the health of local residents. Now, rather than cooking in oils laced with salts and high in calories they are now preparing dishes using rapeseed or other oils which are much lower in saturated fat.
