Children brush teeth alone

4th June 2008

A survey by the British Dental Health Foundation has found that many children brush their teeth on their own.

The BDHF surveyed 1,000 people and discovered that more than one in five children aged under five were left to brush "unsupervised". Dr Nigel Carter, BDHF chief executive, said: "These results really are very worrying and help explain why around half of children under the age of five currently have tooth decay here in the UK."
