Coma patient wakes to ask for KFC
29th June 2012A 26-year-old transplant patient awoke from a coma and demand a KFC chicken burger meal.
While the family of Sam Boughen from Glastonbury, Somerset, had hoped their son might say he loved them when he came round, the keen drummer instead requested the fast food meal. He spent eight days in a coma after he contracted E coli and a lung disease as he battled to survive on life support. His family, who had maintained a bedside vigil, were stunned he used an iPad to type out is request.
