Conjoined twins are successfully separated

The mother of conjoined twins Rosie and Ruby Formosa, who were born joined at the abdomen and sharing part of the intestine, has spoken of her happiness after they were successfully separated in an operation at the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Now 12 weeks old, the separation was carried out the day after they were born on July 27. And now their mother Angela, from Bexleyheath in south-east London, has spoken of her “smiling bubbly babies” which are doing well.
