Dance injury clinic for NHS

The first specialist dance injury clinic is being opened by the NHS in the UK.

As part of the new National Institute of Dance Medicine and Science, the clinic at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London will offer specialised treatment and rehabilitation services as well as conducting research into the treatment and prevention of injuries sustained by dancers. It comes as the professional organisation for dancers, Dance UK, believes that 80% of dancers receive some form of injury every year.
