Darzi praises progress towards personal health budgets

17th July 2009

The former health minister Lord Darzi has commended the work by bidders for the first pilots for personal health budgets at an event in London.

He said: ''Everyone in the process of bidding for pilot status has worked incredibly hard to get this far and I would like to extend my personal thanks for your commitment, dedication and passion. The creation of personal health budgets is a huge shift in the way in which the NHS operates and I am hugely excited about the progress being made."
