Delays to Mid Staffs inquiry report
19th September 2012Health Service Journal has reported the final report of the public inquiry into the scandal at Mid Staffordshire Foundation Trust is to be further delayed.
It quoted sources as saying they expected chair Robert Francis QC would now not deliver his report to the government until after the 15 October date announced in April and speculation was already mounting that it may even be early next year before the findings are published from the inquiry which heard from more than 150 witnesses between November 2010 and December 2011.
