Dental patients should have access to prices online
19th June 2012A Conservative member of the House of Lords has said NHS patients should be able to look at the cost of their dental treatment online.
Baroness Gardiner brought up the idea after an Office of Fair Trading report showed as many as half a million patients could have been "deliberately" misled regarding the costs of their dental treatment. She asked: "Would it not be a good idea to set up an online application so that patients can see the information for themselves, with a simple form to fill in that lets them know what they should be paying before they go?"
