DGH takeover bidders revealed

21st November 2012

Imperial College Healthcare Trust and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Foundation Trust have emerged as rival bidders to take over West Middlesex University Hospital in London.

The trust, which has an annual turnover of £149m, announced in September that it was unviable and was looking for merger partners. With the race now involving one of England’s biggest hospital trusts and one of its highest performing foundation trusts, the West Middlesex board could take a decision on who will run its district general hospital as early as its December meeting.
