DH seeks chair and members for advisory committee14th March 2012
The Department of Health is looking for a chairperson and 14 members to form the emerging science and bioethics advisory committee (ESBAC).
The DH said on its site: "ESBAC will be the main UK advisory body on the wider implications of developments in bioscience and its impact for health when it is established as an expert committee on 1 May 2012. It will provide advice to UK health departments on emerging healthcare scientific developments and their ethical, legal, social and economic implications." The closing date for applications is 4 April, and interviews for the chairperson will start on 19 April, with interviews for the members to begin on either the 7 or 14 April, subject to confirmation.
