DH will not be lowering cervical screening age

23rd February 2009

The Sun has started a campaign to reduce the age limit in the light of Jade Goody's cervical cancer diagnosis. Professor Mike Richards, England’s clinical director for cancer, said: "If a woman under the age of 25 has symptoms of cervical cancer than she should go and see her GP and be referred to hospital."
