Diagnostic test waiting times fall

Statistics from the Department of Health have shown that waiting times for diagnostic tests have fallen over the last month.

Patients in England waiting more than six weeks for tests such as scans fell to 3,500 in February - a fall of 39% from the previous month – while the number waiting more than six weeks compared with the same month last year was down by 94.9%. The largest number of people waiting more than six weeks for a diagnostic test was in audiology, at 800, though this was down 43.9% from January.
