Director of NHS national communications resigns

21st March 2013

Health Service Journal has reported that the director of NHS communications for the Department of Health has resigned his position.

It also says that Colin Douglas has also resigned from the post of director of communications for the NHS Commissioning Board, which he also held. Mr Douglas is reported to have informed HSJ that his decision to leave the posts was for personal reasons, and the strain of spending two days a week in Leeds, away from his family in London. He will leave his post at the end of the month and has been in the Department of Health job for five years.
