Duchess visits Liverpool

15th February 2012

The Duchess of Cambridge has visited the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.

Conducting public engagements without her husband, who is on a six-week posting to the Falkland Islands with the RAF, she unveiled a plaque commemorating her visit to the hospital and also met young patients and their families. She visited Ronald McDonald House (RMHC), a charity which provides free accommodation for parents and carers of critically ill children, and was introduced to families who use the centre on a long-term basis.
