E coli farm to be sued

24th September 2009

Lawyers say at least five people suffering from E coli are taking legal action against the source of the outbreak and could claim hundreds of thousands of pounds in compensation.

It is believed many more will come forward to seek compensation from Godstone Farm in Surrey after the number of people found to have the infection rose to 64. Among those taking action are the parents of Alfie Weaver, 3, who was hospitalised with kidney failure and Clare Zahra, 24, who went to Accident and Emergency after passing blood.
