E-guide for asthma services

17th September 2012

An e-guide for the commissioners and providers of asthma services has been made available.

Designing and Commissioning Services for Adults with Asthma: a Good Practice Guide, sets out how commissioners, clinicians, patients and carers can work together to improve care and ensure efficient use of resources. Campaigners hope that it will not only save lives but also help cut the high cost of medication and emergency hospital admissions. The UK has the highest prevalence of asthma in the world and among the highest death rates in Europe from the condition.
