EDT Hub deployed at Kent PCT

27th October 2011

The deployment of EDT Hub in NHS Eastern and Coastal Kent will save more than 6,000 GP practice staff hours every year, according to system supplier PCTI.

Its electronic document transfer system has been deployed to the primary care trust’s 120 GP practices, where it will be used to deliver an estimated 900,000 documents a year between primary and secondary care.

Figures from the company say the system will save 25 seconds per document in processing time for practices by removing the need to manually open, scan and file letters and 41 seconds per document for acute trusts.
