Encouraging drug therapy record

Information gathered from 14,600 people in community drug treatment programmes has shown that one in three stops using drugs within six months.

The data was collected for the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System. Colin Bradbury, head of delivery at the National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse and one of the authors of the study, said: "There's no room for complacency, but we're very pleased and encouraged by the results."
