Event on improving hospital food to be held

30th January 2013

The Department of Health is organising an event at Nottingham University Hospital to try to improve hospital food.

It will address the link between clinical and catering staff in the dignity and respect of patients, specifically in relation to nutrition and hydration, and follows health secretary Jeremy Hunt’s announcement of the fundamental principles patients can expect from hospital food. The free ‘improving hospital food’ event March 11 will include speakers from NHS Commissioning Board, British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) and the Soil Association and is open to all who work in the NHS.
