Faults found in paediatrics application system

20th January 2009

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) has closed its online application system because of technical problems with the software.

The system is used to allow doctors to make applications for specialist paediatric training positions.  Dr Andy Thornley, chair of the BMA’s Junior Doctors Committee said: "The failure of a computer system involved in the applications process will be extremely alarming to junior doctors who remember the disastrous collapse of MTAS in 2007."
