Fight on abortions continues

22nd May 2008

Supporters of the "pro-life" movement have said they will carry on with their battle to decrease the time limit for abortions after the next election.

Members of Parliament voted to sustain the 24-week limit for abortions. Ian Lucas, coordinator of the all-party Parliamentary Pro-Life Group, said: "We will continue the fight to reflect the wishes of the public and support the rights of the unborn child."
