Finnamore appoints social marketing experts14th April 2010
Specialist healthcare management consultancy Finnamore has appointed two health improvement and social marketing experts to strengthen its consultancy team as health trusts increasingly look to proactively manage health issues.
Lucy Reynolds joins Finnamore from the National Social Marketing Centre after managing and launching a national and international best practice resource for social marketing containing more than 40 programmes.
Russell Collins has gained more than seven years experience working in the private sector for consultancies such as Cyril Sweet, Mace, and also at Barking and Dagenham Primary Care Trust, where he helped the trust take the prestigious title of Young NHS Organisation of the Year.
Both will join the company’s rapidly expanding team in London as consultants to advise on issues such as health improvement, reducing health inequalities and strengthening local strategic partnerships,
Managing director, John Deverill, said of the appointments: “Prevention needs to play a much bigger part in Britain’s healthcare if the NHS is to thrive in today’s challenging environment.
“Health improvement programmes and social marketing projects are already leading the way in this respect. Finnamore’s expertise in this area can really help primary care trusts and other public and third sector organisations deliver tangible results.
“Health Improvement and social marketing are rapidly developing disciplines. As such Finnamore is also working with networks such as the Core Cities Health Improvement Collaborative and Healthy Places Healthy Lives to help those working in this arena to collaborate more effectively, sharing and developing best practice much more efficiently together.”
