Flu vaccine for children ruled out

The Department of Health's Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation has decided not to offer flu jabs to children and pregnant women.

The JCVI influenza sub-group’s head, Professor Andy Hall, professor of epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said there "was not enough robust evidence to demonstrate current flu vaccines were effective in young children".
