Further death at Stepping Hill

The death of Linda McDonagh is the subject of an investigation by Greater Manchester Police in conjunction with the inquiry regarding contaminated saline at Stepping Hill hospital.

The 60-year-old died after being given saline at the hospital on 14 January. Detectives said 21 people had been deliberately poisoned by contaminated saline. Stockport NHS Foundation Trust said: "We are aware that a 60-year old woman who was a victim of saline contamination last summer has died. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time."
