'Futile threats' made against GPs

The Goernment was yesterday accused of making 'futile threats' to GPs amid cliams that doctors could lose their surgeries to private firms if they fail to provide out of hours services. The Tories said it was time the Government cooperated with family doctors to improve patient services rathen than raise the possibility of services being handed over.
