German doctors strike

An eight week strike in Germany has ended after more than 70 000 doctors in German community clinics reached an agreement on salary rises and fewer working hours.

However there is doubt among critics as to whether smaller hospitals will be able to afford the deal. Doctors working in university clinics also ended a three month strike in June.
