GP surgeries not offering full online access to patients

17th April 2013

Data collected by the Health and Social Care Information Centre and revealed on its Indicator Portal, shows one fifth of GP practices do not have the functionality to offer patients full online access to their records.

The government has said all patients in England who want online access, should have it by 2015.

However, as of December last year, out of more than 6,200 practices, only 61 have switched the functionality on.
