While GPs charging their own patients for extra care given to them looks an un-welcome move, the fact remains that, as has been reported earlier through these columns, the GPs certainly are under tremendous pressure. And, instead of the proposed move of GPs charging their patients extra, perhaps reducing their workload will be a far better help to them.
